It's a neighbourhood project, a platform to bring people together and create a little more whimsy in our lives.

Painted Perches is a community-focused art project hatching along LeBreton St N in Ottawa's Chinatown. Hand-painted birdhouses (made by neighbours, kids, seniors, and local artists) are hung on fences, trees, and storefronts, turning the street into an open-air walking gallery. Each birdhouse has its own (optional) page on an online trail map, and anyone is invited to paint one, host one, or simply come find them.
