Painted Perches is a small community art project. These terms are short on purpose — if something is unclear, just ask.

Requesting a profile

Anyone who has made or hosts a birdhouse in the neighbourhood is welcome to ask for a profile on the map. We review requests by hand and may decline any request without a specific reason — usually because it looks like spam, bot traffic, or is clearly off-topic.

What goes public

When we approve your request, the name you provide, your photo, your map location, and your short note are published on your profile. Your email is not shown and is kept only as described in our privacy note.

Editing your profile

You can edit your profile at any time using the access code we email you. By default, edits are reviewed before going live. Live profiles stay visible while an edit is being reviewed.

Removing a profile

If you want your profile taken down, reach out through the contact form on Get Involved and we'll take care of it.

How we might change things

Painted Perches evolves. We may archive old profiles, change how the map works, or adjust the project's direction over time. We'll try to be transparent about any changes that affect you.

Tweaks happen — but the spirit of the project, and the care we take with people's information, will not.

No warranty

The site is provided as-is. We're doing our best, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service or that everything will always work perfectly.
